New York-based blockchain software technology company ConsenSys has announced that it will release a new NFT collection to celebrate Ethereum’s Merge upgrade, which is expected to take place September 13-16. It was stated that the NFTs in the collection named “Regenesis” will be environmentally friendly. ConsenSys also pointed out that the collection will highlight sustainability and shed light on the importance of sustainability in blockchain. The Merge upgrade was known to reduce Ethereum’s carbon footprint by 99.95 percent.
According to the transferred details; NFTs in the collection will begin rendering at 9:00 am local time on the day of the Merge upgrade. The mining process will take approximately 72 hours. The release date of the collection will be announced later.
ConsenSys users will be able to create any amount of NFTs for the collection
ConsenSys users will be able to create NFTs in the collection for free. Only transaction fees will be charged to users. Users who connect to the Metamask digital wallet, buy Ethereum and add the Ethereums they buy to their wallet, will be able to create any amount of NFT within 72 hours of the mining process.
