CoinGecko conducted a new study in which it identified the countries most interested in the Ethereum Merge upgrade, which is expected to take place between September 13-16. Scope of work; Global Google Trends data was analyzed to determine how many times in which countries phrases related to Ethereum Merge such as Ethereum Merge, ETH Merge, Ethereum, ETH, ETH Classic, Ethereum Classic, Ethereum PoW, ETH PoW, Ethereum PoS, ETH PoS, PoW, and PoS were searched . Then, a total search score was given to each country to list the countries that searched the most for these terms between July 1, 2022 and September 4, 2022.
According to the research results; Singapore was the country most interested in the Ethereum Merge upgrade. The country’s total search score was recorded as 377. Switzerland and Canada placed second with a total of 286 search points. Switzerland and Canada on the list, respectively; Germany, USA, Netherlands, Australia and Turkey followed. It was noteworthy that Turkey left many countries behind and placed in the top ranks. While “Ethereum PoW” was the most searched phrase on the subject in Turkey, the country’s total search score was recorded as 208.
