Cryptocurrency adoption in Vietnam is increasing day by day.
The research revealed that about 17% of the Vietnamese population owns cryptocurrencies.
The research titled “Vietnam Crypto Market Report 2022” showed that 16.6 million people own cryptocurrencies in Vietnam. The most popular cryptocurrency in the country was Bitcoin, as expected.
Vietnam follows Thailand
According to Viet-jo, a local organization operating in Vietnam, About 17% of Vietnam’s population (16.6 million people) have purchased cryptocurrencies. 31% of cryptocurrency owners in the country preferred the leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin.
In addition, the country has opened its doors to many NFT, Web3 and GameFi projects. In addition, various infrastructure and wallet studies are also actively carried out.
According to the study, Vietnam is the second largest crypto adopter after Thailand in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Game and metaverse projects constitute the most important place among the blockchain projects in the country. These projects make up 28.8% of the total projects.
According to the Vietnamese local organization, seven of the top 200 blockchain companies in the world were founded by Vietnamese. These companies include Axie Infinity, Coin98 and Kyber Network.
Crypto adoption is increasing day by day, especially in countries living under difficult economic conditions. Especially African countries and South American countries take the lead in this regard.
