Nifty Gateway co-founders resign amid Gemini woes

Founded in 2018, Nifty Gateaway was acquired by Gemini in 2019.

Duncan Cock Foster and Griffin Cock Foster, co-founders of NFT auction platform Nifty Gateaway, said in a tweet released today that their resignation will take effect immediately. “Griffin and I are founders, now we want to start another company,” Duncan said.

“When Gemini bought NG in 2019, Griffin and I said that if everything went great and we liked it, we would stay for another 4 years before starting another company. is showing”

The resignation of the co-founders came amid the legal battle between Nift Gateaway’s parent company Gemini and bankrupt cryptocurrency lender Genesis Global. Genesis Global stopped withdrawals due to market conditions, and after this move, the company’s partner Gemini stated that its customers were aggrieved due to the Earn program.

Nifty Gateway was founded in 2018 and was acquired by Gemini in 2018. Despite the difficulties with the parent company, Duncan stated that they have been preparing for this transition for months and Nifty Gateaway is in good hands.

“Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss are visionaries who see the potential in NFTs before almost anyone else. NFT Gateaway will continue to evolve under their leadership”

As part of the transition, Eddie Ma will take over as the “tech lead” for Nifty Gateway, while Tara Harris will step in as a leader for non-tech advances.

“We recognize that transitions can create uncertainty about the future. To that end, we will publicly announce a roadmap plan for Nifty in the coming weeks. After we leave, we will remain committed to the role of consultant to ensure continuity.”
