They tried to sell the passport information of the Belarusian president as NFT

The hacker activist group Belarusian Cyber Partisans tried to sell an NFT containing passport information of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

The group said the move was part of a grassroots campaign to “fight the bloody regime of Minsk and Moscow”.

Members of the group started an NFT collection called “Belarusian Passports” by infiltrating the government database containing passport information of all Belarusian citizens. This collection allegedly includes a digital passport that shows Lukashenko’s real information.

Some commentators claim that the digital passport information is fake due to the words “Republic” on the front page and mispronunciation of “Aleksandr”.

Hackers tried to sell passport information from the OpenSea marketplace on August 30, Lukashenko’s birthday. However, they are now looking for an alternative route due to the short stop of the sale.

“It’s the dictator’s birthday today, help us destroy him! Buy our artwork. The special offer is a new Belarusian passport for Lukashenko, where he will be behind bars.”
